The My Learning Corner project allowed us the opportunity to design and develop a custom genesis child theme, something that I have been looking to accomplish for some time now. With our focus on client work and creative projects, similar to My Learning Corner store we look to stay versed in as many of WordPress’ design and development avenues as possible, which will allow us to utilize the key features that each framework or theme options panel may offer. One goal of the My Learning Corner and child theme project was to implement and create a unique way of displaying some of the latest posts. With so many designs focusing on sliders I wanted to take a more traditional approach while still creating a image heavy visual experience when a reader lands on My Learning Corner Blog. We established a section specific to ensuring an optimized portion within the Store Food Now Eat Later Facebook page as well as interactive, visual links as well as a navigation element that will both promote leads directly from the Facebook fanpage. With the Grain Mill and Wheat Grinder Custom Facebook Design we had the opportunity to focus on a clean design and the two major product lines cohesive to the business model. Outside of the ‘Like Us’ promo that is commonplace with custom Facebook fanpage design we sought to help the client promote two product line brand staples and feature some of her long-term products all within her Facebook landing page design. During the initial design process we also helped reaffirm the clients unintentional ‘ladybug’ business branding motif, helping her focus on that concept throughout online mediums related to her business.

Throughout my involvement on the TheraTape project there have always been a wide array of focuses that include both the informational and product side of TheraTape’s business model. With the depth of what we wanted to help our client cover when a reader initially lands on the TheraTape’s custom Facebook tab we knew that a clean and well rounded design was going to be key. Initially all goals for custom Facebook design projects is enticing the reader to follow a client’s Facebook page. However, we also wanted to showcase the backbone of TheraTape’s online presence through the informational resource she has already built through her online store which included information, videos, printable instructions in addition to the traditional online shopping focus. Whether it is a visual graphic or easy to read text link we wanted to help lead the readers eye and create a full fledged online experience with this one, Facebook landing page.
